Our therapeutic offerings for you

Our specialised, highly qualified doctors, therapists and nursing staff possess a broad therapeutic repertoire. They develop the appropriate treatment for every patient. New, innovative methods also feature in our treatment concepts, such as employing ketamine, botulinum toxin A and hallucinogenic substances (such as LSD).
Our particular strengths are:

Pharmacotherapy in tandem with psychotherapy

Depending upon the pathology in question, pharmaceuticals can help to alleviate symptoms and to improve quality of life. Intensive psychotherapy will always accompany a pharmaceutical treatment. Pharmacotherapies will be determined according to the needs of the individual patients during the daily rounds of the chief physicians and senior physicians.

Psychotherapy

Every treatment with us includes psychotherapy with individual and group sessions. We work with different psychotherapeutic approaches, depending on the pathology of a patient. The therapeutic procedures employed include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) (in German), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) (in German), the cognitive behavioural analysis system of psychotherapy (CBASP) (in German) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) (in German). We have developed our own programme for group therapy that is scientifically monitored.

Care

The quality of our care is in line with the latest knowledge, reflects our broad experience and will support you in your individual healing process. We orient ourselves on your needs and resources. Our goal is to enable you to regain the highest possible quality of life and autonomy. We will respect you as a unique personality, and place importance on maintaining open, friendly, respectful interactions with you.

Competence centre for gambling addiction

We are the first competence centre of our kind in Switzerland, and have developed a special therapy for online addictions that encompasses different psychotherapeutic methods and strategies.

Ketamine therapy

The pain reliever ketamine makes depressive symptoms and suicidal thoughts disappear very quickly. In collaboration with the pain consultation hours of the University Hospital, we offer this innovative treatment using a ketamine infusion.

Rehabilitating the intestinal flora as a therapeutic approach

New findings have shown that the intestinal flora of people is different when they are depressive. This then has a negative impact on neurotransmitters to the brain and on hormones. If the intestinal flora is rehabilitated, the depressive symptoms are alleviated. We are already offering this treatment in collaboration with the Basel University Hospital, within the framework of two studies. We are also preparing a targeted dietary intervention that the latest studies suggest has a proven anti-depressive impact.
